FUEL therapy is an integrated practice dedicated to promoting emotional, physical, and social wellness. At FUEL, we believe everyone deserves the right to feel, unite, embody, and lead.

FUEL therapy is a creative venture and therapy practice founded by Samantha (Sam) Johnson. Sam is currently licensed to practice as a MFT in the state of New York. Sam specializes in the treatment of eating disorders and anxiety disorders. Her practice welcomes individuals of all ages, gender identities, and cultural affiliations who struggle with eating disorders, anxiety disorders, disordered eating habits, body image, athlete triad/RED-S symptoms, and body dysmorphia. Sam additionally works with athlete, women’s health, and LGBTQ+ populations. She is a strong believer in the integration of body and mind as a means to self-empowerment and positive change. Sam integrates narrative, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused therapies to address the unique stories, strengths, and goals of her clients. Always working from a collaborative/integrative care lens, Sam actively works with clients, families, and medical providers to enact treatment plans and therapies that are supportive of the biological, psychological, and social pillars of both individual and family wellness.
